20/5/2017 | 0 Comments

Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children will celebrate its 25th jubilee edition – a quarter of a century of its existence. Main Theatre Program, which will be held from July 1 – 12, 2017, will be the richest so far. The audience will have an opportunity to see and enjoy twenty professional performances of various genres for both children and youth.

This summer birthday celebration will present many different genres of shows for all ages - drama, puppetry, audio-visual, dance, music, clowns, inclusive, interactive, non-verbal to the ones that are combined.

This year our guest from Greece is Hop Signor Puppet Theatre from Athens. Founded in 2012, by Evgenia Tsichlia and Athanasios Sioris, which participated in numerous European festivals and wes awarded on three.
In Kotor Hop Signor will perform Giraffe, a table top puppet performance without words recommended for age six and over. A money box, shaped as a giraffe, changes its owners and becomes alive in the minds of its new keepers. Without it, a little kid would lose its only friend and a lover of the sky would never reach so high. Blending the animate with the inanimate, the story teaches us that life exists in every object that carries emotions and sentiments. Through their relationship with the giraffe, two main characters connect with their ability to love, to befriend and dream on.

Like every year, the Festival prepared a rich Side Program, within which children and youth can express their creativity through the art, music, literature, workshops and many other forms, and together with the Festival bring another colourful and joyful summer to Kotor’s streets. Multitude of interesting programs which will generate a wave of children's creativity in Kotor – the town from fairy-tale!
