THE TOWN MUSICIANS OF BREMEN IN KOTOR

24/5/2019 | 0 Comments

Here we have another year that will be marked by the most wonderful summer festival in Europe, and quite certainly even wider. Traditionally, from July 1 - 12, Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children gathers all the theater viewers and connoisseurs, both big and small, and takes them to an unforgettable adventure through the town of Kotor.

This year we have a mission to, in addition to Kotor, Europe, world and universe, conquer the Moon too with our imagination, and on this trip, Cizgi Kukla Theatre from Istanbul, Turkey will join us.

The town musicians of Bremen is a well-known tale by the Grimm Brothers, which gets a new face in this version by using a special technique of black light. This puppet show will offer children a chance to think about a concept of freedom, through adventures of four animals – a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster, who have to leave their homes. The donkey, dog, cat and rooster will help children realize how to fight for a free life. The original technique that characterizes this play, and its characters, gives you a feeling of watching a cartoon playing out right here in front of you.
It will be se exciting to watch the puppets in a dark theatre filled with a lot of special effects and colors! Do you like cartoons? Do you have big dreams? If your answer is yes, we are waiting for you to join us to enjoy the adventures of this silly crew. Directed by Abdulah Gun, dramaturgy by Burhan Gun, and performed by Abdullah Gun, Hasan Gundoğdu, Barış Açıkgöz, Ertunç Alıcı, Merve Eren and Hakan Gun, this show will take you to the Moon!

Dear friends, what will happen to our dear musicians in those 40 minutes, you can see on Wednesday, July 3, at 8 p.m. in Cultural Centre. The show is recommended for children from 4 years and above, but also to all people who still love cartoons.

Our dear astronauts, who are in love with the theatre and the world of play and art, join us to once again, enjoy Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children this summer and to take a trip to the Moon together!
