KOTOR FESTIVAL OF THEATER FOR CHILDREN
KOTOR
- Traditionally held during the first 12 days of July in Kotor, a UNESCO heritage city in Boka - one of the 30 most beautiful bays in the world;
- Founded in 1993, during the time of Yugoslav war, just ten footsteps away from the Kotor Theatre building, where the first theatrical play for children was held in all the Balkans in 1829.
FESTIVAL
- Guarding the beauty with theatre plays, films, exhibitions, concerts, dance performances, literary events, art installations and workshops.
- Represents over 25000 children and adult artists from 48 countries, which in 28 years, on over 50 locations in Kotor, has seen half a million spectators.
- Ninety percent of the program is shown for free, while the remaining programs go by a symbolic ticket price.
- It’s a proud holder of the status of a cultural event of special importance in Montenegro;

FOR CHILDREN
- It dedicates to the inclusion of children and youth of socially vulnerable groups, volunteerism, interculturality, social engagement and activism.
- Educates and inspires children and youth through and for art.
- Supports and affirms artistic creations of children and the young.
- Promotes and develops the general artistic scene of Montenegro dedicated to the younger population.
- It all starts when the Mayor of Kotor gives out the town key to the children.
