Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children will celebrate its 25th jubilee edition – a quarter of a century of its existence. Main Theatre Program, which will be held from July 1-12, 2017 will be the richest so far. The audience will have an opportunity to see and enjoy twenty professional performances of various genres for both children and youth.

The Virovitica Theatre from Croatia, in a cooperation with the Zadar Puppet Theatre, have prepared an interpretation based on the story  An Invisible Girl, written by Maja Prelević, that will enhance our Main theatre program. The theatrical adaptation, directed by Nikola Zavišić gave a breath of life to the creatively designed puppets without which this story wouldn't become a reality. An invisible Girl creates, out of rebellion, her own world, world opposite of the one strongly adhered by her parents. In responding to the parents' obsession with order, obedience, and everyday rituals focused mainly on material values, the Invisible girl proclaims strongly and defiantly - with disorder and disobedience- a loud and clear NO!
The desire to change the world full of fake optimism and status symbols is the main goal of this girl, whose identity is determined after the meeting with the so-called invisible children, children labeled as filthy neighborhood kids by her mother.  This show, although intended for the age 8+, is recommended to anyone who cultivates in himself a dose of rebellion, and a desire for change and/or improvement of the world's ideals. We will be waiting for You at on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the Summer Stage.
