BEAUTY AND THE BEAST IN KOTOR

25/6/2019 | 0 Comments

Another year that will be marked by the most wonderful summer festival in Europe, and certainly more widely still. Traditionally, from July 1 - 12, Kotor Festival of Theatre for children brings together all the theater viewers and connoisseurs, both big and small, and takes them to an unforgettable adventure through the town of Kotor.

This year, our mission is to, besides Kotor, Europe, world, universe, conquer the Moon, with our imagination, and on this trip, Beauty and the Beast by Youth Theater from Novi Sad, Serbia will be joining us.

The play Beaty and the Beast by Stevan Koprivica is a multi-layered fairy tale for children and adults which tells us how dreams and power of love are much stronger compared to material values, which is why it is extremely current even today. A transformation that main characters go through shows us that nothing is as it seems on the surface and that true beauty can be discovered only if we truly deal with people. Universal morals, that true beauty is found in a person’s soul and heart, and not in their exterior appearance, that everybody must learn how to love and how to become worthy of someone else’s love, that true love exists and perseveres regardless of differences, render this fairy tale timeless.

The show is directed by Miloš Jagodić, and the cast are: Kristina Savkov, Slobodan Ninković, Saša Stojković, Marina Cinkocki, Slavica Vučetić, Saša Latinović, Neda Danilović, Ivan Đurić, Aleksa Ilić and Danilo Milovanović.
