Here we have another year that will be marked by the most wonderful summer festival in Europe, and quite certainly even wider. Traditionally, from July 1 - 12, Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children gathers all the theater viewers and connoisseurs, both big and small, and takes them to an unforgettable adventure through the town of Kotor.
This year we have a mission to, in addition to Kotor, Europe, world and universe, conquer the Moon too with our imagination, and on this trip, STANICA – service for contemporary dance from Belgrade, Serbia will join us.

We will open the competitive program with a dance performance named MUSEUM OF DANCE, recommended for children between 3 and 7 years of age. Museum of Dance is a 30-minute-long participatory, interactive play that takes place within a spatial installation inspired by history of dance and choreography. The installation, which represents a museum at a small scale, consists of different rooms where each of them offers a different approach to reflections on dance. In each of the rooms, children in a special way encounter dance and choreography and have a possibility to individually and within a group create, observe or talk about dance. In addition to its educational character, the installation and performers interact with the audience differently than in typical drama and dance performances since children have the opportunity to enter and explore spaces created by artists gathered around the Museum of Dance project. The installation was created as a part of regional project for development of dance theatre for children and youth Generator, implemented in 2015.
In the show’s creation participated Kliment Poposki, Elena Risteska, Viktorija Ilioska as concept’s authors, Dalija Aćin Thelander as a mentor, while the development and adaptation was under the able hands of Jovana Rakić, Marko Milić, Milica Pisić, Milena Todorović, who are also the show’s performers. Authors of video and audio materials are Marko Pejović and Miki Todorović, while the voiceover was done by Jovana Rakić.
If you wish to dance on the Moon with us, join us in Kotor, on Tuesday, July 2, in Nikola Đurković Cultural Centre. The show Museum of dance, will be performed 3 times on that day, at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. The number of tickets is limited.
Our dear astronauts, who are in love with the theater and the world of play and art, join us to once again enjoy Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children this summer and to take a trip to the Moon together!
