Another year that will be marked by the most wonderful summer festival in Europe, and certainly more widely still. Traditionally, from July 1 - 12, Kotor Festival of Theatre for children brings together all the theater viewers and connoisseurs, both big and small, and takes them to an unforgettable adventure through the town of Kotor.
This year, our mission is to, besides Kotor, Europe, world, universe, conquer the Moon, with our imagination, and on this trip, Maayan Iungman from Germany will join us with her show Niyar – A Paper Tale.
NIYAR – A Paper Tale is an object & puppet theatre show made completely out of paper. A frustrated artist is sitting in front of a mountain of crumpled paper. With each idea that is being thrown aside, the pile gets bigger. In the midst of this creative crisis - life suddenly begins. A paper figure appears and takes the artist on a poetic journey. Karolina Augustyniak (theatre magazine Dziennik Teatralny) describes Niyar as a great show of free imagination, like a material shaped with child's enthusiasm. This unique show is expressed without any words and is a symbolic story of meeting and separation, almost as the purity of beauty - that inspires.
The show’s concept and direction are by Maayan Iungman, and she one of the performers together with Philipp Rückriem.
Dear parents, bring your smallest ones to this show and sail away with them in the paper magic. The show will be performed on Wednesday, July 10,at 8 p.m. in Nikola Đurković Cultural Centre. Around 45 minutes long, Niyar is a show intended for children above 5 years of age.
Our dear astronauts, in love with the theater and the world of play and art, join us to enjoy Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children again this summer and to take a trip to the Moon together!
