Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children will celebrate its 25th jubilee edition – a quarter of a century of its existence. Main Theatre Program, which will be held from July 1-12, 2017 will be the richest so far. The audience will have an opportunity to see and enjoy twenty professional performances of various genres for both children and youth.
The City Theatre Podgorica will remind us of the meaning of love through a dramatic puppet romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet inspired by Shakespeare’s piece. The theatrical adaptation by director Emilija Mrdaković will introduce the fight of the youth to illuminate the ‘’dark’’ world in which they grow. It’s very hard to cope with the vicious world and a system in which all that matters is to be successful, to own, consume, hate, and destroy. In the background of the image of such a world, the love of Romeo and Juliet and their special, divine gift to love, rises to the surface, as unreal. This show, intended for the age 10+, is also recommended to each and every romantic and misunderstood soul, and will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the Summer Stage, at 9:30 p.m.
